Why is this available for the 2007 4.7ho and not the 2006 4.7ho?

are those not the exact same engine?

The tuning is done via the vehicle computer which in many cases has different calibration files and functions for each even though the engine may be the same.*****
The next batch to be completed will be the 2005-2006 year 4.7L. *******
If you would like to be notified when released, go to our web site under "Customer Support" and select "Product Request" ***After completing the information you will receive an automatic notice when we have a full production release and all testing is complete.

Thanks,

Woo Hoo! More tuning options for 05 Dakotas!

Now Ill have to start looking at stacking programmers to see about keeping the trans tune from a superchips if I get a Hypertech.

Im sure the guys with the Rams will be doing it soon. Ive seen threads on ********* on stacking Superchips/Diablo/SCT in order to reap the benifits of two different programmers. You have to be careful though. The idea for example would be to program your transmission first with a SC, and then go ahead and use another tuner (Hypertech for example) and tune the engine. Then, to remove them you would first have to remove the Hypertech programming, and then the SC. Im not sure if it would even be possible.

Are the Hypertech programmers are VIN locked to a vehical after programming or can you tune multiple of the same vehical with one programmer?
