depends on how big is your level kit and howlevel do you want the truck to sit/ how high do you want the rear to sit

What did you get....the rough country kit? Stick with the 1.5" blocks provided, they will look good with a 2.5" lift in the front. If it IS the rough country kit, do not use those terrible shocks that came with the kit, use your STOCK rear shocks, they work perfect with lift blocks up to 2", and with 1.5" lift blocks, they will be cherry.

2.5" and 1.5" will be fine. If you WANT more rake, by all means grab some 2" blocks but I think thats a waste of time and money.

You really cannot go any more then 2" in the rear, you will run into a few issues, including the main brake line being a tad bit short, and the breather tube for the axle, will start to get pulled. Even with a 2" block, I had to lower my breather down about an inch or two on its mount, so it wasn't getting stretched.

Use what came with the kit, it will look great.

what wrong with thoses shocks? i only heard that they are a bit to long for the 1,5 block thats why i want to go with 2 inches block.

to the best of my knowledge rake refers to the factory stance where the back end will sit higher the bigger the block the more rake youll have.. this is for towing purposes when youhave a load on the rear it will push down and cause your head lights to aim up wards... less rake higher your lights will go.. more rake less clearencce in the front end... if some one wants to correct me feel free...

no worries on the english i know how it is my dad lives in quebec i know what its like to try and learn another language. every time i go to see him im lost

The shocks from the kit are way to long, not just a little too long. I had them on my truck, with 2" blocks, and so did a few other forum members, and they are so long that they are still nearly compressed to the max, with the 2" blocks installed.

The factory shocks however, are PERFECT for 1.5 or 2" blocks. You wont even have to remove them when you install your blocks, just unbolt them from the axle.

You can hold onto the shocks from the kit for the future, or sell them on ebay, but trust me when I say they are way to long. They would work on the dakota if it had a 6" lift in the rear.
