I like the look of that! I wouldnt paint the bolts though, just another thing to chip and look like garbage eventually. I would leave them silver, they look bad***

we will see... i may paint one and put it in and see how it looks... i just think the silver looks like snaps or biker studs haha

then i very carfully messured and layed out the placement of the screws.

it works out perfect to be 11" on center allowing 7 bolts from the cab to tailgate to be installed evenly



When i installed them i just made sure i pushed the rail caps down to unsure they were sitting flat and level on my rails...

in a couple days im gonna pull out the bolts and paint them flat black so they are not as bold.




Also this weekend i took my 80 dollar craigslist toolbox and took some rustoleum truck bed coating to it...

I presume you're in the construction biz, from your gear in the truck and 11" on center. Not too many folks measure on center. That's a very clean fix. Great job.
