Updates from memorial day weekend! (pics)
So during the winter right after i got my dak i bought some egr bed rail covers.....
well as we all know when it got warm (even though i installed them when it was 80 degrees in feb) they started to lift off my rails...
Rather then removing them and trying to tape them back down i decided to give them a bolted down look.
first i took #10x 5/8" long self tapping sheet metal screws

then i very carfully messured and layed out the placement of the screws.
it works out perfect to be 11" on center allowing 7 bolts from the cab to tailgate to be installed evenly

When i installed them i just made sure i pushed the rail caps down to unsure they were sitting flat and level on my rails...
in a couple days im gonna pull out the bolts and paint them flat black so they are not as bold.

Also this weekend i took my 80 dollar craigslist toolbox and took some rustoleum truck bed coating to it...

yeah it was used and dingy... all i did was got a foam sanding block to sand it with... it allowed me to get inbetween the diamond plate easier... then i take of the handles and thats all she wrote...
I used the roll on for most of it but i like the way the spray on turned out better.
