guttur guard grilles?

is the 05+ plus style hood release up at the top? cause on the 08+ the release is at the bottom of the grill. if you could find an 08 in a scrap yard or order it you should be able to swap them out. just a guess but it would spare your knuckles

amen to the top left center... and my thoughts about it being sharp are.... since im painting my whole grill black im gonna take some door edge protector ( since im putting it on my doors also tomorrow) and wrap it inside the opening so it has a smooth frame....


I still want to know/ see pic of how people attatched these to the inside of the grills.

I paid $80 for a grille off ebay because it said "perfect fit" and "easy mounting" so I thought it would have some sort of mounts attached. I opened the box to see 4 inserts and some black tiewraps. My grille was attached by drilling holes in the frame and running tiewraps through the holes and grille. Talk about a rip off.

haha thats why i am gonna spend 10 dollars to have a grill held on with zip ties rather then 80 for the same thing...

actually i have an idea of a very good way to put it on... i will try it and take some pics so you guys can see....

atleast if it works haha

i did my grille almost a year ago w/ zip ties and it hasn't moved.
for the money it looks really good just doesn't pop like chrome.
and where the hole was i just rolled the sides back w/ pliars.

i don't have any pics of the inside but i'll take some and post later.

what was the size? 6" wide? and was it the galvanized?

Lowe's only sold it in one size when I did mine. Have you checked out the store yet?

And 6" sounds about right.
