I love it. Now I want to do mine. Did you remove the calipers or just tape off around it? Same question on the drums, did you paint them while they were installed?

I removed the calipers from the rotor then taped off the rest of the wheel well, then sprayed several coats so it didn't run. Its fairly easy to do, especially if you are already changing the brake pads.

Hmm.. Will orange drums clash with my inferno red paint? Red and blue don't sound right, and black won't be noticed..

When I had my Eclipse Sypder GS-T custom painted Inferno pearl read I had them paint the calipers inferno pearl red because I thought every other color would clash. They looked good for a few years then started dulling to a maroonish color almost. I guess from the heat, break dust, and admittedly me not scrubbing them down well every time i washed the car. If you re-did them that color every few years and kept it fresh and cleaned them regularly it would look good though...Everyone noticed the calipers right away when I first had them painted and complimented me, but I just dont drive the eclipse anymore it is in the back yard with a cover on it, so I wont spend the time or effort to refresh the paint on them.

You can see how they have dulled in this pic but in person they are a little more colorful....

I would rather see them blue, silver, or gold before orange on the best color Dakota, Inferno Red.

What about yellow? I'm thinking yellow now, as I don't want to spend on the color matched when it will fade eventually. Thanks for the pic and info Brian.

Does Yellow on inferno red work?

Take a look at this.

http://www.wheelskin.com/g3000-g2.html

it will last alot longer then the actual auto paint they used on my eclipses calipers since the item in the link is actual caliper paint and it looks a close match to inferno pearl red. The only thing I have against yellow is the caliper would look good but then the drum in the back would be to loud being yellow since it is so big imo.

Agreed, love the inferno!

And brian, yellow really would stand out on the drums, hmm.. I'll have to think about it until the weekend gets here.
