Wow I never new that some of these states have inspections, what do they actually inspect the whole truck every thing like window tint extra lights any thing extra wide tires lifted to high.. freedom aint what it use to be so much big brother telling you how to keep you safe, guess what I can keep my self safe with out big brother doing it for me..

just like I dont agree with seat belt laws all that is a way for the citys and states to generate revenue as far as I am concerned. I guess you can tell I grew up during a different time when you actually had a choice to wear a seat belt or not the freedom to chose thats what this country was based on.. LOL things I did as a kid they would lose there mind over now and days sorry for ranting just a tad LoL..

I will admit cops do target younger guys like most of you for tinted windows and such.. Prime example I get pulled over for my tint around midnight coming home from work pulls me over and then he see's my age and he dont even want to see my drivers licence, I was kinda insulted and what is up with that LOL he even hesitated in his sentence saying that he thought I was some young kid.. Oh well have as much fun as you can while you can LOL.. Cya Slick

Inspections here r bull pretty much anything suspension related and lights all lights have to be dot approved or u fail same with the bulbs I failed cause my brush guard used to have the bars that pass in front of the lights so I just took em off in the parking lot. Its all just revenue raising they don't check anything engine related or tint mainly suspension tires lights and horn

true, it is all about revenue raising. We have yearly emission/safety inspections in north carolina. They check lights, horns, tinting, tires, brakes, exhaust, seatbelts and do a smog test. Every year.....you can't get your tags renewed unless you have an inspection done.

Yeah long time ago we use to have the emission testing here in michigan but if your car was over a certain age then you did not have to get it done and at that time of my life I could only afford older cars.. good luck guys Cya Slick

That inspection stuff has got to be rough, I guess on a rare occasion I am happy to live in Iowa. No inspections of any kinda, they really don't care much about what you drive, you will still get it for tint once in a while.
