Default Hot Air Problem

So I left a party a couple of nights ago and was halfway through m 1 drive back home at 10:30 when I hear a click when I turn the air halfway up. So I get warm and put it back all the way cold but it still blows hot air. So now no matter where I have the gauge it is always so degree of hot. What do I do and what happened?

Find an A/C low pressure gauge and test it. Your low pressure port is by your condesnor. Start the truck, let the engine warm up and put the A/C on high max and check it. If its low, add more. If you have a leak in the system and the pressure drops low enough the compressor will not engage.

I ran the engine and the pipe for cold was freezing to the touch and had water all over it so it's not a leak and there wasnt any oil on the pipes from inside lube leaking out. And I can make it hot and then heat it up to burning so does that rule out a bad switch?

If you are saying that your ac lines are cold and that the ac compressor is on, i would say the mechanism inside the duct that changes from hot to cold is the culprit.

I took out the dash part that covers the a/c and radio. Then I took the a/c part out and fiddled with it a little but could get it open with breaking it so I put it back and my a/c works again. Yay!
