On my 2005 it is the same as you describe, but is not consistant or constant...

I wonder if it is the rear drum/shoe/e-brake setup...they changed them from mid 2006 upward...

Anyone ever FINALLY get rid of this problem and NEVER have it come back?

I have the stock BADyear wranglers on my truck, if they were not almost new, that would have been the first thing GONE when I got my truck the end of May.

Big difference in the ride between this and my 2006 Ram 2500 2wd quad cab 8ft bed 5.9 Cummins! I had 160k on it, not a thing wrong with it, just needed something smaller and 4wd for my job..

Replace the drums, and shoes, and the entire rear brake assembly kit (springs, arms etc).

If your out of warranty I would assume you do have to pay. You could probably do it yourself, but if you do decide to have the dealership do it then I would suggest printing out the service bulletin and taking it there in case they try to tell you it will take "X" amount of hours to jack up the price because the service bulleting clearly shows the amount of hours it should take.

i can live with it for now. If it gets too bad i'll probably just replace the rotors, shoes and hardware and be done with it. Upgrade to the 06 style brakes.

Default i really dont understand

why the old setup vibrate what is exacly happening?

and why remplacing axles shafts?

why a rear brake problem will ruin front rotors

will that ruin my new 33inches tires?

Well went to the dealership for the inspection to transfer the warranty and I had the guy look up to see what work had been done on my truck and he said just the inspection and some crankshaft seal 2 years ago. I even tried replicating what your experiencing and could not... No shudder no nothing. On a side note the dealer charged me $50 for the inspection which was a lame inspection and did not consist of much lol... but got the warranty transfered. They would not give me a straight answer if putting an after market exhaust would void the warranty though. They said "Well it would and it wouldn't" which is not much help.
