Default dakota died twice

hey guy's hope someone can help me out, have an 05 dakota quad cab with a 4.7. the other day at work i put the key in and turned, lights on dash came on and headlights but it didnt crank over no clicking or sound at all. 15 mins of trying and all of sudden fired up. battery is fine and starter is working good, all connections are tight. after this happened the second time on my way home my truck died and came back to life while still driving, no lights or power or cd deck. i also might add that the last time after trying 15mins it fired up and the round icon for the system alarm stayed on for a min till i turned off the truck and when i refired it it went out. im afraid to drive it anywhere wish it would just die for good then i could find out. thanks

I would check your ignition fuses and ensure all of them are properly seated. One of them not seated correctly can do exactly what you are describing.

Default Mmmm

Maybe a bad ground or dirty battery connection or dirty starter, amp connection.

heres an update on my truck, just got it back from the dealer and holy crap $200+ it was a broken wire to the pcm box. The dealer said that this happens a lot on the 05's they have done a lot of them and my warranty only covers major parts no wiring. labor was more then the part which was splicing and shrink tube. so i hope this helps out the next guy.

Weird...

Almost sounds like the old 1st Gen Ignition Wire Issue
