Body lift problems

I had to weld long bolts to the front mounts to keep them from spinning. What a pain!

thats common, i had to do the same thing on my pick up when it was new, the kit is much eaiser to install... what are you doing with the steering, radiator, fan shroud, core support, ect? there are also a few wires that wont clear, keep us updated as i dont think anyone has completed a DIY body lift yet on a 3rd ren dak

with stering extending coupler, bumper brackets etc...

took me 10 hours 3 set of hands and a fourth just to trim bumper and bracket.

Thanks for the tip. A weekend isn't so bad. I'm glad my truck isn't my daily driver so I can take my time! Maybe I'll start spraying some good penetrating oil up in those front mounts now so by the time I get to doing this it may help.

Been out of town but I got the project started. The radiator issue was the cause of the problem. Here is my progress..

Just a thought....instead of cutting the radiator support, couldn't you:

1. Switch to an electric fan
2. Come up with longer radiator hoses
3. Lengthen the trans cooler lines

Just thinking..I did not look under the front to see if I was missing anything else

im pretty sure yes he use only 2 inches bodylift

hopefully i gave you the instruction for tips!!!
im curious if you gonna regret not to go with the full kit when come time for bumper brackets! in your case i would dump stock bumper and fab some like dodge trucker !!!
