Body lift problems

Default Body lift problems

I took all of the front body bolts out and I jacked up the driver side and got the 2" blocks in then I went to the passenger side and it will only jack up 1". As soon it goes up 1" ( 1" gap between the body and frame ) the jack starts the lift the body and suspension like it's hanging on something but I don't know what. Can anyone help me?

Default ok

loosen more bolts and maybe you forgot to remove something stering shaft a wire etc...

the worst while performing bodylift is custom fab to frame for rad and disasemble of front body mounts.

did u cut the rad support on that side? and take the ground wire off motor?

I did remove the steering linkage. I haven't cut the radiator support at all, I don't understand why i would need to? I found a ground wire on the lower passenger side of the motor but it was loose still so that is not an issue. All 6 body bolts under the cab are out and the two long PITA front body bolts are out as well.

I don't have instructions... I bought 2" universal lift blocks and longer bolts.. I only spent $50 not several hundred for a kit. I'm just going to cut and weld my own bumper brackets.

How many hours can one expect such a lift install to take?

u can do it in a weekend by yourself.... thats what i did. if you have a extra set of hands, it can be done in 1 day if the front mount bolts dont give you too much trouble! BUT THEY PROBABLY WILL!!!!
