Performance wise as far as HP, i doubt i gain much at all. I do think that the direct flow from outside to the filter works as an amazing cold air intake. It also sounds a little meaner because the fiberglass alone doesnt seem to block the sound as much. I think the biggest benefit comes from the heat extractors, it stays quite a bit cooler in the engine compartment now that there is a way for the hot air to escape. Next time i have some time off i am going to try to make more of an air box to direct the air from the scoop into the intake better...with pics of course

Love the grill. I may pick some of that up and do mine. I have the E&G Classics grill and I think the openings are bit too big. I'm up in the air right now about mine. But I really like your grill. Here is a pic of mine.

Nice, I like that style. The only reason i went with what i did was 1) it matched what came in the hood 2) i pulled the pieces out of a scrap pile...FREE

Where are these heat extractors? I must have missed something? That is a slick looking hood!

There are heat extractors (metal mesh) on the inside and outside of the hood where it gets to the windshield, you can see them from inside. It looks pretty tight. I will snap a couple pictures when i get home
