Default Steering Wheel Play?? 2006

My 06 duck 2wd has about an inch of slop in the steering wheel. You can wiggle the wheel left & right and the shaft to the rack doesn't move. Only have 60K on her. Has anyone else seen this?

I havent seen that, but I know some guys were having the problem with the shaft popping and clunking. Check out the TSBs or Recalls for you truck: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ The shaft TSB maybe the issue, but I am not sure.

Thanks Guys, but no popping. I do have the plastic scraping when I turn (like almost every Dodge I've had in the last 15 years). I need to look closely at the joints in the column. I t has to be one of those.
