i was reading this----> https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...rged-4-7l.html and got inspired, i found that i can get the air ram adapters for about $550 and a good used, low mile, intercooled svt charger for about $450, only problem is, will it fit on the 08? the new ignition coils may not clear, waiting to hear from air ram some other questions, probably for blown... what pressures will the svt run, i heard 12psi but that would be to much for a stock engine, how can it be controled if at all? do i need to swap injectors, fuel pump & map sensor? what else would i need other than TB adapter and belt/pully system? (i can build thoes)

 

The stock system might put out 12psi but you can get larger pullies made to drop the boost. The biggest hurtle is certainly getting the pullies to line up. Everyone on D/D who has attempted it, that was their biggest hurtle. Also, Air Ram never got his Eaton build to work.

 

ya, i was reading that it wasnt done yet, whats his hang up? and would i need anything else to do it maby computer or custom tune, ect? and what psi can the engine safely run with out internals

 

Well, he started the project over two years ago. It was a hot topic on D/D for a long time.
