Insulation torn on two wires. No burn marks but it wasn't starting so I cleaned and stripped the wires and patched them. Cranked right up.

Yeh glad I fixed it too. First truck I have had since 1997. I have always worked 50+ miles from my home so couldnt afford the gas on a truck and I finally moved a mile from my current job! Besides the starting issue the truck has been fantastic. Already modded my intake, resonator delete (sounds awesome with the stock muffler) and have done a IAT relocate.

Stick around here for sure. Someone is always doing something unique with their truck that helps us all out. You need a Superchips Tuner now

Wasnt the wiring. Happened again today near a pep boys so I took the battery out and had it tested. Battery failed immediately when they put a load on it. So bought a new battery and that has seemed to fix the issue but who knows

Well looks like it was the battery all along. Drove it around for about 45 minutes today and even sat in some stop and go traffic. Ever time it started up fine.

Atleast you shouldnt have any more problems with it. A bad battery can cause some real problems even if it starts your truck. They eat alternators for breakfast.
