I think I may have my friend spray my stock chrome grill body color and leave the inserts black. My truck needs some more black in the front to equal out the black on the side and the back. You did a great job if you painted yours silver yourself. I couldnt tell if it was stock like that or if you had done it.
I want a grille like Nola's aftermarked and just paint the outside rim red, and leave the inside chrome. I just want to make it look unique in the front.
yeah I was thinking of doing the same to mine, paint the outside rim silver.. but I tested the paint on the bottom where you can't see and it just didn't come out great.. plus it's like a freaking $150 grill, I'd hate to screw it up. But they do make chrome versions
Yeah, Ive been scoping them out on Ebay. I picked up a can of Duplicolor Chrysler Flame Red paint from Autozone and tried painting a piece of sheet metal, and it takes a lot of work to get it to come out. Its hard painting a flat surface and sanding it .... I cant imagine doing a grille that has curves.
