Default Headers + locking bolts...

Okay, I have a broken bolt on the LH side. I was thinking of just putting headers on..what kind? I am not looking for a fancy ceramic coating, just a good solid set that will bolt right up...

I was thinking..

With these bolts...

and factory Mopar stainless gaskets....

Any thoughts/recommendations?

Thanks!

I have that same set of headers. They came with steel gaskets and I sprayed them with Hylomar spray.

When I did my headers, Marty at KRC talked me out of locking bolts. He said that with aluminum heads, something has got to "give" from the day to day vibrations and if the bolts weren't allowed to give a little then it would be the threads in the block.

Since he knows more about it than me, I went with his advice and saved a couple of bucks, which I needed since he also talked me into sending my headers to a local coating shop for a custom ceramic coat.

Can't bi*ch though, five years now and the headers still look like the day I put them on and the bolts ain't so bad. I check 'em every oil change and most I've had to do is tighten one or two a quarter turn or so...

Hmm, good points:

Blown287 - Just saved me $40.00 for not buying different gaskets.
HammerZ71 - Also just saved me $40.00 for not buying different bolts...
