Default Got New Tires...may have got carried away

I think i may have crossed a line with this last purchase... I needed tires and I swear I was gonna go with a regular size for my 20's. BUT I went a little crazy and the guy selling them gave me an awesome deal... soooooo, i put 305 50 20 Cooper zeon ltz xl's on my dakota. When it stops raining i will get some good pics, but they dont do justice. They are literally a 12" wide tread, and without going into too much disturbing detail, they dont really rub.

I'm gonna take some better pics when i get a chance, they make the truck look wicked. It almost looks tubbed from the back

but now at least i am using the fender flares to the fullest and it looks like a truck

I had to trim with the 285/50/20's, did you try to turn yet? I can't imagine that size on my truck, awaiting some nice pics.

Wow you got away with 305/50/20 thats wide, I thought 285 where wide, do you happen to remember the offset for that wheel? wide tires do make it look like a truck no doubt about it.. Cya Slick

He has the stock Ram 'Flower petals'. Offset is 19.05 mm, same as mine.

i had to trim of course...and i may have spaced the front bumper forward
the only time it rubs is at 100% turn, it just touchs the frame

also dakotaff - awesome looking truck

you will find it hits the sway bar, frame and mud flap because thats what my 285's cooper zeons LTZ hit I forget my offset I would have to go back and look at my past posts but mine are a stock wheel as well.. Cya Slick

Thanks.

My 285's rub the sway bar and frame only the slightest bit, and only on the passenger side.

You could always have run two sizes. The 305's in the rear, and something like 265 in the front. Just have to make sure they are the same diameter.

mine dont touch the sway bar, and with the bushwacker flares and trimming they dont touch there either. They only touch the frame on the cab side at full turn.

and mine is AWD so a different size on the back i couldnt see going well
