Bill, there are guys out there if you search on google that claim they run regular gas on the premium tune with good results. You can do so, but be sure to listen for pinging. You can also monitor your Knock Sensors and Knock Retard with your tuner, so I would watch that as well to see what your truck is doing. If the truck is retarding the timing due to knock, you are losing ~10hp per degree, so its not worth saving the money on gas if that happens. For my truck, I run 93 octane. The $3 extra per fill up isnt going to kill me .... I did spend $300 on a tuner. lol

yer right for the 3-4 dollars per fill up {360.00 up here for tuner} is pretty cheap if the truck runs better, I'll give it a go.

 

YEAH i agree...when i get mine in it'll be 91 octane all day with it on performance mode!
