need help with sub box
alright guys have a few questions dont know if anyone else got it. i bought a sub boxe for my truck. the custom one to look like a arm rest in the back. well i go to put everything togather (putting the 10 inch sub in) i noticed that it does not fit properly the sub touches and its front heavy. it was very hard to get in and out. and when we try to flip it around just to see, but still didnt work. i dont know if im doing sumthing wrong or what. so as of right now its sitting upwards and the sub is facing me. i kinda like it but not workign for me..im actually thinking of sending it back if possible if not maybe actually hacking it and make it a bit diff. what are you inputs?
what kind of sub are u trying to put into it? different subs are longer than others depending on the type of magnet they have, and there power output,
give us a pic, to help understand what's happening better.

this is what i had to do. i removed the rubber stoppers they didnt even stop there was couple more inches before it would touch and it would be front heavy. dont get me wrong i wanted it yo work but from my buddys double box to this its not as gd sounding and not as loud of a thump and i can hear the sub saying let me out. im thinking about calling tommorrow and sending it back. im not happy with it. im thinking about just going out and getting a 10 inch box or going to home depot and making my own.

That R has way too much excursion for that tiny lip.
That sub in a sealed box needs around 1.2 cubic feet of airspace. making a 1.25 cubic foot box will get you close after sub displacement. If you go vented, its going to want 1.75-1.9 cubes with a 33hz tuned port.
I ran 2 type Rs in my liberty powered by a zapco 1000 watt amp. 150db's is when that back glass lets go.
