Default Is my rear suspension going out?

I put new Rancho's on the rear a few months ago however have noticed when hauling my 100gallon water container around the truck bottoms out quite a bit. The container weighs around 800-900lbs full and sits right above the axle up against the front of the bed and takes up about half the bed. Ive been noticing lately that even with only about 200-300 pounds it sags some, sometimes even dipping below the front level point. Should I get my springs checked out? Was thinking about maybe a spring helper kit or add a leaf kit? Is there something I maybe need to adjust with the ranchos, although I cant see what or how.

well...the payload on our trucks is around 1500-1700 lbs depending on the model you have. 900lbs plus you and any other gear you have in the truck might get you close to that. There will be some sag, but you should not be bottoming out on every bump.

Yeah, I understand about the payload limits, but Ive been reading alot of other threads and people are putting more lbs (sometimes twice as much) and reporting they are just getting the truck leveled out with the front without any suspension upgrades (besides shocks). Its a pretty dramatic drop when I put the water container in there is what concerns me compared to other reports.

Its normal for a few hundred pounds to cause some sag while its carrying the load. Trust me, at the max payload this truck is rated at, it doesn't look pretty. Thats how it works though. Its not this model truck specifically, thats simply how it goes.

Load levelers like Super Spring, or that other kind that is a half leaf, with a coil spring on it are the best option. Both kinds go for around $200 I think. The air bags are OK imo, but who wants to be airing them up and down? And I hear they don't last long if you live in an area where the roads are heavily salted.

If I was carrying a lot of weight, I would look at these:
