Ok guys, while I was at Carlisle I was walking around the vendor booths trying to convince them all we were feeling sorely unloved by the aftermarket and they should do something about it. One of the guys I spoke with was Kevin with Ground Force Lowering Suspension Systems ( http://www.groundforce.com ). As it turns out he is actually involved in R&D there and while he told me there was nothing in the immediate pipeline he seemed very interested to hear that there was nothing out there for us other than rear shackles.

I mentioned I was a member here at Dodge Forum and I'd seen quite a few people looking for lowering kits, he gave me this email:

He said to have anyone interested email him there. If there is enough desire they will look into developing something for us. So get emailing and if he needs a reminder just tell him Rich that he talked to at the Carlisle All Truck Nationals told you to drop them a line.

So everyone interested please email Kevin and let him know we'd like some drop kits, if you're on other forums for our trucks please spread this over there too. This benefits all 3g dakotas if we can get them to give us some love!

I spent the extra coin to buy a TRX 4X4 to try to get as MUCH of a 4WD look as I could (which is damn near impossible on stock trucks anymore), so no lowering shackles for me. Thank you very much.

 

If I had seen any of the lift vendors on site I would have talked to them too but most of the lifts were being sold by 3rd parties not the manufacturer themselves.

 

My post was sarcastic for the most part, but thanks for looking out, bro. There's just nothing out there for these trucks to get them in the air, especially 4wd. It's amazing that almost any other truck on the road for the last 10 years has a crapload of aftermarket suspension choices, but our bastard stepchild trucks got left behind. :/

 

It's like that with the majority of aftermarket stuff really. It's pretty bad when I can walk up to almost any vendor and try to convince them with "you could completely corner the market".
