On this control module you need to use the, "Blue Wire" as a ground for the fan. I sent you a PM on this. Did you get it? I cut the blue wire off the module, put some connections on it. One end connects to the BLACK wire on the fan, the other to a good ground. Remember, the "Black" wire on the module is also a ground. I followed the instructions to the letter with no problems. The Blue wire is for a second fan however, in our case you cut it off and use it as a ground for the fan. The Black wire is the ground wire for the module. I hope this makes sense. This is how I did it and it works fine.

Newmexico, it was my fault I wasn't understanding what you said. I copied/pasted your PM into notepad and printed it so I could use it outside. When I did this, the bolded (is that a word?) phrases did not transfer, and f'd my understanding up. I finally figured this out, and fan still wouldnt come on. After some testing, I realized the controller was bad. I now have it wired, and it works. You were right, it only took about 20min.

Please accept my apology if I wasn't clear in the beginning. Sounds like you got it going.

No, dude, it wasnt you. Like I said, when I copied pasted and printed, the words that were in bold did not transfer. Its amazing how much a little punctuation can change a sentance! Besides, my first controller from autozone did not work!

My SPAL monitors the OEM coolant sensor. When the engine reaches 150-160 the fan is turned on and runs low speed. At 180 degrees or with the AC on the fan runs at the high speed.

On your dash, your temp goes somewhat like that.

At the 1/2 you are at 200-210 temp range
At the 1/4 you are at 170-180 temp range
At the 1/8 you are at 150-160 temp range
