Default Hubcentric spacers

I am having issues with my new wheels. I have a real bad shake when i brake at high speeds. I posted this issue a couple weeks back and got some good feedback but none of it solved my problem. I ended up dropping it off at the dealer and they said i need to get some "hubcentric spacers" to fill the gap because my wheels have a 110.5mm bore but the hub on the truck is only 77. Something. Anyone ever used these or had this issue?

I dont understand how that would make the truck shake only when braking at high speeds

did the factory "star clips" get removed from the studs? factory wheels have provisions for them but aftermarket wheels dont...

ya they were all removed. it's strange. the dealership is stumped im stumped. its just odd. they told me to try getting the wheels road force ballenced too. i found the hubcentric things they are only 50 bucks so i'll give them a shot if that doesn't work i'll probably end up remounting my stockers just to see what happens

that kind of stumps me too, as none of our wheels are hubcentric, putting some spacer in there doesnt sound like any kind of a fix to me, unless, are you talking about the ballancer spacer?

Here is exactly what the dodge tech that worked on it said.

The lugs alone are not enough to hold the wheel at center. All factory wheels are made to rest on the hub. If you buy these hubcentric spacers it will allow the wheel to be centered and not rely on the lugs. This would explain why each time i stop the severity of the vibration changes because each bump i hit will shift the wheel. Even the most seemingly insignificant amount fractions of a mm can cause this.

this was all new info to me but at the same time it does make sense. Do your rockstars have a stock bore?

i'm positive mine have the same size boar as yours and are not tight on the hub, the studs and proper lugnuts for the wheel are plenty enough to hold it in the center, what he is impling is that the wheel is actually moving every time you hit a bump which is bogus, if the wheel were actually moving on the hub, you would be suprized how fast the studs will sheer off and you get to watch your tire pass you but something that makes a little more sence after rereading the post, mine will also have a strange shimmy when traviling at high speeds for some time, then hitting the brakes some what hard, nothing that feels out of control or enough to bother me, but does feel a bit strange, it only does it at thoes excact conditions and after reading many, many other posts, i have attibuted it to (dare i say?) normal? mine has done it since new with three different sets of tire and wheels, its not a bother to me, but i can understand it could be to others

ya its crazy. i am going to keep trying to fix it. i will post it when i do to let everyone know what the issue was or if i just go back to stock wheels

i wish i had a way to express how severe the shake is. it is not something that can be ignored.

I'm not convinced hub-centric spacers would solve your problem, but on the bright side, if they don't, at least you will have gained a nicer, more aggressive stance...
