how much do you think it would run you to actually get something like this fabricated?
For the suspension I'd go with something like this:
Jeep TJ long arm kit $2300-3000
Asorted brackets from mountain offroad $300
As for the axles, Dana 60's are great.. but expensive...
Id probably go with something along the lines of a Dana44. Hit the local junkyards for Jeep grand cherokee axles, or possibly gen2 dakota axles.
The width of both should be fine. should be able to pick up either set for around 500. You could also go with Jeep TJ axles and save a bit on welding new mounts...
So not including tires and wheels you could easily do it under 4 grand if you did the work yourself.
yeah i'm sorry but my dakota was not built for an extreme off roading vehicle! woulda bought a ram for that! lol so i'll save that and put it towards engine mods and exterior mods and airbags!
wow how can you tell that by looking at the frame?
If you look at the rest of the pictures in the magazine, or website, there is a shot from under the front of the truck to show off the suspension. You can definately tell that it is NOT our frame.
