SCT is a more involved tuner, allowing for custom tunes requiring software and knowledge of fuel maps, timing, ect. This type of tuner is required by guys like Superdak05, Trucky, and Blown due to their boosted/cammed/nos applications.

You can get custom tunes written for you by Hemifever.

This is the way to go if you want to squeeze every last bit of power out of your engine since you will be able to take the engine to the limits depending on the quality gasoline you run. Superchips/hypertech need to be a little more reserved so they dont start frying peoples engines. Also, Superchips and Hypertech can normally support your CAI and exhaust, but when it comes to other performance mods like headers, cams, ect. a SCT would be in your best interest.

Default Superchips vs hypertech

Word of advise - "Don't get the Hypertech" - not even in the same class as the SUPERCHIPS. I basically traded my Hypertech in (at Superchips) for the 3865. Believe me the list is far to long t0 list here - but basically no firmer shifting (and they will not do one - so they tell me).
