I had no idea what you were talking about until I asked everybody's good friend Google lol, would that work for exterior too since 4 parts of it are for (from what google informs me) interior applications to get the wax off the door handles and vinyl?

I clay once a year with a "Liquid Glass Polish" 2-3 times during the spring, summer and fall.

It strips your paint down to clear coat, so its HIGHLY recommended that you at least wax after since your paint no longer has any protection on it. Its really simple. If you buy a kit, spray the lubricant on the paint and rub the clay back and forth, rotating the clay as it picks up debris. Youd be suprised how much stuff comes off. A google search will give you a good DIY article on claying. Clay with a wax will make your trucks finish like glass.

I usually use a toothbrush and soap and water... or toothbrush and windex, thats been know to work for me.

This coming weekend... the truck will be detailed/waxed! It will pretty much be the last time before winter

I need to make time to "detail" my truck. She gets her beauty time but she needs the day at the spa with the clay bar, a little polish and a good wax. Is there any combination of brands of clay bar and wax/polish that you guys recommend? I have never done a clay bar treatment on my truck, any suggestions are really appreciated!!!!!

I love using the clay bar!!! I use this:

http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...p?T1=MEG+G1016

It is easy but takes some time.
Wash - Clay bar- Wash/Dry - Wax

******If you drop the clay bar, throw it away****** It will pick up everything off of the ground and will scratch your truck!!

I use the mothers clay bar; its cheaper than meguires at my local store. Go for the cheapest one you can find since they all do the same thing. Its not like a wax or polish where its possible to get different results with different products. A clay kit involves a piece of modeling clay and a lubricant (which is normally just a "quick detailer")

I found this over the weekend and its cheaper than both Mothers and Meguires. I will let you know if it works the same way.
