Default Transmission service?

So, how often do you get yours done?

Transmission shop my son has his car at tells me it needs to be done, on newer trucks and cars, every 20-30K.

Is he after money or does it really need to be done that often? I'm from the old school of having it done every 100K whether it needs it or not.

Think i'm gonna hit right in the middle at 60k. Since I'm not doing any severe duty type stuff.

I changed it when I got the truck at 86k, and then at 107k just because the pan was leaking. The first was a flush. Now I will probably got until 150k .... if I have the truck that long.

Does the torque converter have a drain plug? My ram had this, and it made for an easy oil change.

OM states every 60k for trans and every 30k for the differentials and transfer case.
