Oh yeah...and then there's Altair...

-He's a cold blooded killer, a socio-path, bread for destroying people's moral. This unsub will usually stay unsurfaced for a few weeks here, and a few weeks there. The unsub will usually appear nice, until a stresser occurs ( "chrome is for pussies" by DonkeyPunch). Then his split personality surfaces and takes over...

There is only one attack against "DakAttack" that foils an attempted "DakAttack" towards another Dak owner....it is....

" Oh yeah? Well I have an Eagle Talon TSi that will smoke your Dak!"

Although Eric Emery is our #1 enemy, he has the only counterstrike against this unsub. There is absolutely NO ONE ELSE that owns a sweet Eagle Talon TSi that makes 500hp. Therefore, the DakAttak is foiled. Unsub destroyed.

I guess... well I know, I bought my Dak not looking for performance. I bought mine because it was a deal I couldn't turn down.

It seems I look at things differently, I bought a truck to be a truck, not looking for "performance" upgrades, though a little more power is always good when towing.

I bought a sports car for performance, then improved on it, using no off the shelf parts that would be specific to my car, I have made my own performance upgrades.

The same thing can be done with the 3.7 if you really want to.

I haven't had a 3.7 apart, in fact I haven't had any Dodge engine apart personally, though one of my friends has built a few for dirt racing. This Dak is the first Dodge I've owned and the most I've had it apart is to swap the transmission (part of the reason I got it so cheap).

I am impressed with a few things I have seen on the 3,7 so far:
-Aluminium heads
-Coil On Plug (COP) ignition
-From what I've read it's an OHC design, and is pretty compact for such a layout.

If someone really want to unleash the potential of the 3.7, they could use parts from or for other engines, such as valves, pistons, con rods, maybe, just maybe even cams. I once had looked at using LS1 heads on my 60 degree V6 block, by cutting then down and shortening them. They would almost work, but there were a couple pushrods that would need to pass right through the intake ports, so I decided not to persue that anymore.

There is one thing that I have to keep in check, and that is that I want to modify everything I own, I've already seen a few ways I could add a turbo to this truck, but then I wouldn't be keeping this truck in the condition it is in now, I would be doing more and more, and I already have more than enough projects.

Instead of complaining or repeating over and over again, how there is no aftermarket for the 3.7, create your own, find parts from other engines that will work, and I'm not talking about CAIs, or cat back exhaust (Y-pipe back in our case? lol).

My preferred engine to modify is the GM 60 degree V6, there is literally NO aftermarket for these engines, save one guy that thinks he knows a lot and is just, for the most part, re-selling stock parts or parts for other engines as parts for the 660. I use that as an example of how to make your own market. Do your own research, or as a community, colaborate on ideas of what parts you like to see.

If you have to make your own, and if you can sell, them. As another example, I used to work on GM J-body cars alot, and developed an engine swap bracket for putting the generation 3 660 into the late 1st and 2nd generation J-body, I sold dozens of them, and they are still in demand, I just need to get back to making more.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.....
