Angry DOOR OPEN on dash

whats up everyone long time no see.. been busy as hell with my car i just finished restoring.. anyway today i needed the truck so i took it out this morning no problems.. get back into it this afternoon and on the dash its telling me the the doors open.. well i slammed all the doors shut and its still on beeping at me making me very angry.. i tried looking for the senors but i cant find them for beans!!!! what gives?

Sounds like it's your chimes sensor. You might find some info about it with a search. It could be anything from replacing the chime sensor to turning the key to pre-start and pressing the gas peddle three times.

Hope it's the latter.

the switches are on the latches themselves, maybe a shot of wd40 would do the trick? sounds like one of them is sticking.

ok so i may sound crazy but we played around with those little switches in the door nothing happened.. but when i moved the door slowly the light would go off while the door was still open.. then as i closed the door the mileage and door symbol would go on and off.. so wierd.... i hope i dont have a short somewhere..bc thats what its sounding like..

or one of the connectors has come loose....at least you narrowed it down to which door it is.

i sprayed down the inside of the door latch with some electrical cleaner and it seemed to of worked.. i hope it was one of those stupid things that happens once and doesn't happen again ya kno? but to anyone who has this problem just buy the electrical cleaner and hose it down should do the trick...
