That is why they are dimpled, and not cross drilled all the way through. The depth of the drill hole is short, but enough to allow particles to escape.

Damyankee, I too have dimpled and slotted rotors but hear no clicking. You can over tighten the lugs and warp the rotors, did you use a torque wrench or just gave it all you got?
