Default 4.7L Exhaust

Last I checked, there was noone selling a catback for the 2005 yet.

Anyone know if anything has come out? I checked around, and can't find anything yet, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had any luck.

I have info for ya.
What i did for my 05 Dakota was this. I went and purchased a Delta Flow Flowmaster 40 muffler single in center and dual outs then i went to a custom exhaust shop and had them install it. now i have a Custom Flowmaster Catback Dual Exhaust System.

I've got part #'s for the muffler and prices and stuff if you want them. I have pictures and videos on my website of the 2 Resonators and stuff i had them remove as well as installing the muffler.

If you have any questions or problems by all means please let me know.

Good luck and let me know what you end up doing. Go with Flowmaster you wont be wrong.

Jim.

Looks like Gibson just released something. Some part numbers:

split rear exhaust
stainless 66539
aluminized 6539
dual sport exhaust
stainless 66538
aluminized 6538
swept side exhaust
stainless 616599
aluminized 316599

They may have other styles, but those were the only ones I was interested in. Summit Racing has some (maybe all, didn't check) of those part numbers on their site, with a ship date of 07/21, so it looks like they are available, or will be in a week.

I had all the stock resonators and muffler taken off and put on a single small spintech. Sounds great, mpg increased, zero highway resonance and it only cost $140 total.

I have a call in to a local shop who carries Gibson....they're looking into the prices for me on the single swept and dual sport systems. I had the single swept on my '02 Ram and it sounded great.

I was out buying a tonneau cover on Saturday, and the shop had just installed the Gibson exhaust on a Dakota w/ 4.7L earlier in the week. They said it sounded really sweet.

Personally, though, I think I like the flowmaster sound more. I'm waiting to see what Magnaflow comes up with, since the Dakota is on their "coming soon" list.

JBA is now offering a Evol Cat-Back Exhaust for the 2004-2005 4.7L Quad.Cab Short Bed trucks.

It's Available in either all Aluminized or all Stainless Steel.

Any other questions, please let me know,

Thanks, David

When i bought my 04 all listings for flowmaster were 02-03....turned out 04 was the same...catalogs take a while to catch up. I have the flowmaster cat back with the exits behind the rear wheels with stainless tips...$320 to my door from summit. 1/2 hr install in my driveway.

Duh...I just realized i was in the dakota forum not the ram...LOL
