Default another diy cold air intake.. well sort of. this ones a little different

mine pulls air in from behind the bumper through a pod filter.

check it out.

started out as an ebay 26 dollar elcheapo short ram with no heat shield.

and it turned into this.

this is where it connects. i used the elbow from the original kit.

this is where it goes into the fender.

and this is the fender up inside the bumper

kind of an overview

and this is what its made of. flexible exhaust tubing.

yes those are zip ties holding it in. i had to go rescue a buddy in his prelude so i just kind of rushed to get it back together. but tomorrow im making good brackets and im going to finish wrapping the pipe. the next layer is aluminum foil tape. now its miller time.

I like it man. I wanted to do something like this myself, but hadn't thought it out enough to figure out what to use. Keep posting pics as you move along!

The black cover with the Airaid logo on it is "water proof" with no restriction as claimed by Airaid. Underneath is my oiled air filter.

It does a nice job keeping some larger particles out of the filter and when water does make it up through my intake tube, it just beads up on that prefilter and rolls off. It was $30, but well worth it IMO.

Its just a really fine screen .... nothing special. I guess I paid for the logo and custom fit.
