Autozone has a controller that works just fine and it's $19.95. I helped a 3rd Genner with his after he broke the temp probe that came with his Flex-a-Lite while inserting it into the radiator. Autozone didn't have a standalone probe, but for the $20 the controller came with one.

He had to take the cover off the controller box to remove the wire for the probe and same with the original controller. We were amazed to find that despite the outside plastic box looking completely different, the circuit boards were IDENTICAL, right down to the same chips!

So for $20, you'd be getting the same controller that Flex-a-Lite ships with their $300 e-fans...

so it will come on when which wire has a constant ignition... not sure I'm following you...

If you turn your truck to the "run" position without starting it, you should be able to take the green wire and touch it directly to the positive post on the battery and it will make the fan run.

If that does not work try touching the yellow and green directly to the positive on the battery. That should make the fan run no matter what since its taking the ignition out of the system all together.

which fuse do you have your yellow wire hooked up to??

Ok I'll try that, if touching the green wire to the positive terminal doesn't work, will that help to tell if I have a bad controller? And the yellow wire is on the interior lights fuse, I
don't recall which number. So even when the trucks totally off, the fan will be on, until I unplug the tie in.

Well I touched the override to te battery, and got nothing. Does this mean a defective controller?

try touching the yellow AND green to the battery... that should induce an instant on condition.

Also have you double checked that you didn't accidentally blow your fuse??

Damn lol sorry about all the messed up posts, I'm doing this on my phone. Ueland, which fuse? The one I'm using for the ignition wire? If so, it's fine, because if I connect it like normal, my interior lights will work. With the fuse tie in (for the ignition wire) the interior lights won't work.
