DJ, you would have had to cut quite a bit out. I had to trim my flaps just to clear the 32"...much less a 33" tire thats wider. Width is what the primary problem is, but becomes worse with height. Granted, my tires have serious tread depth, and they are bigger than a typical 265/75/16, so I had to do quite a bit of trimming.

Personally, I think that I can trim enough back to fit 285/75/16s with just a leveling kit. Just need to swap the TM 1.5" with a Daystar 2", get some ranchos, new wheels, and 33"ers are going on.

I had to trim pretty hard when i had 275/55/20s and i have the same rims. I went to 305/50s now and trimmed more out. I have no problem trimming the wells out, some people get nervous about it...

What exactly had to be "trimmed"?

inner wells, mud flaps, and i spaced the front bumper forward about 1/2". There is a thread around here somewhere i had with pics in it. I did trim a little more from the ones in that thread. I got into a metal bracket on the door side of the well and actually took like 1/2" off that. Now I only get a little frame rub at full turn and it will chirp the well still if i hit a big ol bump while turning, but it takes quite a bit.
