Have you disconnected the battery and then reconnected it to see if the gas cap code will reset?

didnt have too, code was gone after the jumpstart/dead battery

its nice to know the gas cap problem isnt just mine alone, but i had attributed it to the gasket for my K&N drop in not being on correctly. ill try disconnecting the battery and see if that fixes it. is there a minimum time for the battery to be disconnected?

i have a similar problem. mine has thrown a p0442 Evap Leak Monitor Medium Leak Detected. code for the longest time. its not my gas cap. unhooking th battery takes the code away but only for a few days.
