Just passing on some info about the spark plugs in the 08 on 4.7L. The only plug available at parts stores like Oreilly's, is a Denso 3381. I put these in my truck and the gas mileage dropped. Figuring I put tires on at the same time, (same day), I thought it was the tires. Well, I stopped at my local Dodge dealer, since I put 25,000 miles on the plugs, and bought the Mopar (Bosch) plugs. The bosch (mopar part# SPFR8TE2AA) has a different heat range!! My stumble is gone!! Will update if my mpg's goes back up.
Are you replacing all 16 with the same type of plug? I thought the ones on top were copper core and the other ones were platinum so they didnt have to be replaced for long intervals. I hope you see better mileage again!
I just changed the copper plugs on the intake side. Still haven't touched the exhaust side. Btw, mpg's went from 17.2 back up to 19.1!!!!!!!! Not bad for it being in the low 40's. It also has all of its power back, which makes me unbelievably happy! Right before I changed he plugs, I always had the truck at 1/2 throttle just to get on the freeway, not anymore!
Dodge recommends taking the lower plugs out and applying never-seize to them at the same time the uppers are changed...they say at 100k they are VERY hard to get out if you don't.

Very good to know, I guess I'm not done with the truck for the weekend! lol
