Default Best H 13/9008 Replacements

I'm sure it has been asked and answered 100 times, but I got to ask again.....

What is the very best available stock wattage bulb available for an 05 and up Dakota headlight?

I was running 100 watt noyka's <sp> and they were undependable at best. Today I installed a set of stock wattage 6000k bulbs, but I'm wondering if there is a better option..

I am not even considering a HID conversion, so we won't go there

Thanks in Advance

Silverstars are awesome and put out a great amount of light. and since their just regular bulbs they work very well in our reflector style housing. and hid conversion fails....

Silverstars! Most excellent. It cost me @ $100 for the headlights and foglights, but it was well worth it.

Do the Silverstars burn out faster since they're brighter?

Q) How long do the headlights last?
A) The life of any halogen bulb varies based on vehicle type, vehicle voltage, amount of time the bulb is on, road conditions, proper installation, and correct application. The average life of SilverStar® headlights is approximately one year. With our SYLVANIA SilverStar® products, the primary goal is to offer the brightest, whitest light. Research has shown SilverStar® headlights improve driver visibility and reaction time. However, since our SilverStar® headlights are up to 35% brighter and our SilverStar® ULTRA headlights are up to 50% brighter than standard halogen, they may have a shorter life span compared to our other products. We offer a wide variety of products to satisfy customer needs including brightness, durability, color options and increased visibility. We recommend evaluating your headlights annually as part of your regular vehicle maintenance.

OK guys here is the scoop.... The bulbs I installed were Phillips X-treme Force. Tonight was my first opportunity to test them after dark, and here is what I found.

First off, they are not as white as I expected, they are supposed to be 6000K which is pure white, but they come off with a yellowish tint compared to my 7000K Noykia's, <sp> and that may be just me adjusting to white from blue-white.

The beam pattern totally blew me away, I can actually see the road 50 yds in front of me on high beam and no factory fogs. On low beam with factory fogs (which have the same Phillips X-treme Force 9005's) the entire 2 lanes 20-30 yds in front of me is totally illuminated.

Other that the color of the light which I may adjust to, I am totally impressed with these lights, I realize they aren't silverstars, but they are darned close.
