I like the older viper emblem like i have better especially since it matches the year of the truck/viper. If you had a newer 08 or above dakota then the newer viper emblem would match better. I went to the dodge dealership the other day and a couple service people came out and asked about my truck saying it was the first viper (srt-10) dakota that they had seen... I guess it was because the bed stripes and rims matched that year viper. I had to convince them that it was just something i had done and it was not a real viper (srt-10) dakota...As far as the 4x4 on the bed stripe that does not do it for me either. Just take the slt off the tailgate and replace with newer 4x4 chrome emblem. Just my opinion
