Default 2009 Trailer Hitch Setup

Hello everyone

I know this has been discussed before, but I want to make sure I'm reading the right information.
I have a 2009 Dakota, 4.7L crew cab.
I just purchased a hitch from uhaul. I got the sales lady to double check to make sure this is the right hitch for my truck. She assured me it was.
When I got home and tried to install it, the hitch doesn't come close to fitting.
It looks as though the truck already has a bar installed to the frame and all I need is the reciever peice. But Uhaul gave me the full peice bar and receiver.
Is this correct? What is the correct hitch for my truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much.

If you have the bar under the frame already you only need this:

So go back to uhaul and get your money back or let them give you the right on! Good luck!

^anyone know a good source for those?

I'm assuming that bar is the one that goes from the frame and supports my bumper?

Any reason to get one of those vs just getting a hitch ball and hooking to that? (other than the height difference)

If you do alot of towing, I would get a hitch that distributes the weight a bit more across the rear end. For an occasional light pull through town, I would just use the ball on the bumper.

I would get the hitch receiver from an online dealer. Moparpartsamerica or moparonlineparts are my favorites.

That's what I need! Rengnath, I tried both sites and couldn't find that part. Any other ideas or websites?
