Default frt brake removal

alright guys, need to swap out rotors and pads, looking for info on how to remove rotors, seems simple enough but the damn things wont budge, removed those little brass clips and slam the crap out of the rotor with a mallet, still wont budge, is there any other bolts holding the rotor on, and yes i already removed the caliper, thank guys

Probably rusted on?? Try a bigger hammer?? (seriously, not trying to be a smart @ss) Do the rotors have a threaded hole like the drums do to put a bolt in and drive them off that way?

mine were the same, finally got them loose with a lot of penetrating oil and a rubber mallet. This truck is by far the worst i have seen brakes seized onto.

Yea. Mine are like that. As soon as I remove the caliper the rotor is very easy to pull off. Sometimes they come loose when I pull the caliper away from rotor.

Unless you aren't planning on using the rotors again, I don't suggest the 'bigger hammer' method. It will bend the rotors. Spray penetrating oil inside the rotor so that it gets to the flange where the lug bolts are. Then tap them from the outside th break up the rust. Both of mine were rusted on. They came off pretty easy after the oil and tapping.
