Anyone know where I can get a white grille for my 2008? I know the sports came with colored ones, but I can't find any? I don't like the chrome grille. Also thinking of doing a mesh or something like the Denali grille inserts. Thanks!!

 

might just have to paint it yourself. I did mine, it's fairly easy. just do good prep.

 

Duplicolor makes spray paint that matches factory paint codes ..... you can find it at Autozone. There was a white grille that showed up on ebay for an 05-07 once and sold for $50 .... I havent seen one show up for a while though.

 

white expanded metal inserts would look clean as hell. something like this but in white...

 

i'm not sure about the model differences, but my 08 trx came with a painted silver grille, and headlight trim (even tho the build sheet and window sticker said "chrome grille") but i just skuffed and color matched mine

 

yeah i wonder..does that paint that guys use on their headlights..forgot what its called...but trucky used it on his to paint eyelids...would that work if i wante to paint my grill black?

 

nite shade turns chrome purple from what I have heard. If you want to paint your grill, just use a good quality paint. If your grill is chrome, scuff it and use etching primer first. Don't use that chrome shadow paint either, I tried it and it's total cr@p. Also, take your time doing it, I had to paint mine twice because I'm too impatient...lol

Thanks for the link! Wow $$$$. I might run it up to a local body shop and se how much to paint the grill and bumper. I only like chrome on my wheels!

 

that is what i'm going to do. But i am doing it myself, painting the grille and the headlight housing. I love the chrome on my truck but i'm getting tired of the grille... good luck. probably the shop will charge you about 400.00 or 500.00 for painting the grille and the bumper...
