In all fairness, I didn't tear the valve covers off until the day after the warranty expired. LMAO, and then in went the HO cams and there has been no turning back, lol.

If I had a Hemi laying around, sad and not being used....I would bolt that sucker in a heart beat. The aftermarket support alone is reason enough for the swap. My 4.7L cams cost 900$ where an Inertia Motorsports Cam cost like 300$. Just remember when Dusty did his swap, the biggest part of the evolution was getting the oil pan modified to clear the cross member. He also had to have one of the engine mounts totally fabricated.

You don't have to modify the oil pan. You can notch the cross member.I used the Motor mounts off the 4.7 and added a plate to narrow the hole pattern but I still had to relocate the motor mount perches forward about 4 inches, and re-weld the to the frame.. Fitting the motor isn't hard to do...The hardest part about the swap is the wiring.

Buddy I'd be all over this if I had 100k on my truck but it's too new and I still have FULL warranty on this thing.....LOL

For you , I take payment plans that include optional monthly test drives .....but in YOUR truck with the HEMI

When Dusty did his Hemiswap into his 05, he has a NGC PCM and his NGC PCM is running his Hemi so he didn't have to do the rewiring like you see in the JTEC PCMs. So yes, his 4.7L PCM has been tuned by Hemifever to run the Hemi so he wouldn't have to do a lot of rewiring. In the 2005, his major hurdle was getting the custom oil pan to clear his cross member and transfer case.

I bet on an 04 and older with JTEC the wiring would be the biggest issue.
