Yeah, I definetly wouldnt call MBRP quiet. At idle, they arent too loud, but when you get on it you will wake the dead. It takes mine till about 3000 RPM to really wake up.

And it does get louder as it breaks in, and dont worry; its louder outside the truck. My truck is deafening to any car next to it if I redline it.
No I can show you pics of the hole. there is a hole in the oustide of the frame, and one in the bottom, that is all for 10-12" in any direction, except for the bed mounts. It was not like they meant for you to put the little block in the frame, and then bolt to that hell the gave you 5" bolts, to go through the frame, and it wasnt just me, joe looked at it too, we both agreed that they meant for it to go there, but there was no through hole. AT ALL

We drilled one side, and the other the drill would not fit without getting into body work, so I just welded the pos, and said forget it, if a solid weld wont hold it a bolt sure as hell wont.

Not only that, but the hole that they want you to use is nearly an inch and a quarter in diameter, that is why they give you a little piece of strip steel with a hole in it the size of the bolt. you use that like a washer. Like I said, perhaps my truck missed the hole line at the factory, that would be a little fishy. And it was not like it was one, it was BOTH sides.

If that was the only issue, I would not be upset at all, but it was one thing after another. The dog just topped it off, try to be nice to him, and let him in to the house where it is warm for ten minutes, and he pees on the couch, sorry cujo, pull that and you happy butt can sleep outside in the dog house.

Top that with a leak that needs to be fixed, up where the system bolts on to the y pipe. I can hear it.

Plus I consider this system to be a misnomer, it is not a cat back it is a Y back. Nothing bolts up to the cat like other cat back systems, perhaps this is a dak only thing.

As far as sound, were it not for the tips, you would have ZERO clue that this thing has an aftermarket exhaust on it at idle. On the test ride that I took it did get louder, so perhaps the glass was just fluffy, I hope so, never seen a straight through like that which is so quiet, I was really dissappointed when I started it up, Start my black truck in that shop and you wold need ear plugs, this one I thought the truck hadn't started save for the tach telling me it had.

I wound it all the way up to 5600 getting on the interstate, and it was just weak, there was more power, but lets just say it wasn't winning any sound contests!

sweet it wont be tonight, just found out this cheap *** camera record only the video no sound lol

Ill go get the other one on my way home from work and get you a sound clip up tomorrow.

oh and the video above, probably 2-3 time louder than mine.

Oh an in that video pause at 2:23. You can see one of the hangers I was talking about, they didnt bolt through the frame either, they either used a smaller bolt and did what I said earlier about put the metal strip inside the frame and bolt to that or they welded it. Either way it was done differently than the kit was designed, and the instructions said to do.

So the thing about the holes being there was a bunch of crap lol!

In fact now that I look at it again, it looks like the welded the driver side one. 2:12
