Do you think your truck would gain by going bigger? Because everyone asks what size is the best and so fan ive read that i mild built 4.7 only need a true 68mm.(mild meaning mine not yours)

dan from fastman says that the 68.5 mm or whatever his usual bore is is perfect for the 4.7 he can go bigger but gains are so marginal its not worth it.

they say the gains above the 68.5mm are not worthwhile. I'm running the 68.5 with an ebay CAI and single in/dual out magnaflow and superchips. The idle thing is getting more consistant and irritating....it only does it after the truck is warm and I take it out of gear.

I think so. I used to never give it much thought since I'm forced induction. When Travis bought his 73mm I looked at it like this. My intake is a 3" intake and 73 mm = 2.8 inches. So yeah, it might actually help out.

Glad to see it is working well for you.

I see that fastman has one for the mighty 3.7. Anyone try it on that engine yet? Curious if you noticed any difference in acceleration or mileage. I will eventually do gears for mine, but if I could gain a little smoother acceleration that would be a plus.

i got the 69MM true bore and i love it...and what is it if it goes from bigger to smaller actually draws it in faster? dont know the science in it but someone told me that some time ago...dont know the truth behind it...but i would go with a 69MM what i went with and love it
