I have an 05 3.7L. It went into limp mode for no apparent reason at about 51,000 miles. No indication of a problem and no engine light. Dealer changed fluid and filters under warranty but could not tell me what the issue was as there were no other codes except that it did go into limp mode. They said fluid actually looked good with no shavings or anything. Have not had any issues since. That was about 10,000 miles ago now. Holding my breath as the warranty expires in 9,000 more miles.

Anyway, sorry to hear of your dilemma. That is a pretty big chunk of change. If it were me, I might consider a used low mileage one. I have seen them for around $650 on a wrecked truck with like 35,000 miles.

I bought mine for $500, and it had 101,000 Km on it.

That still sounds pretty good. That is almost 63,000 miles. Are you having good luck with yours? Did you do the install or have someone do it for you. I guess you would still do new filters and fluid which adds almost $200 I guess.

I did the re&re myself.
Yes, the fluid was quite pricey, almost $10/L, I needed 9L IIRC. The filter was around $65.

I've only had my Dak for a few months, an so far so good. If I do have any tranny problems, I will be installing a stick in it.
