Default well i need some opinions..

whats up .. ive had alot of thought on my mind, my truck is pretty much a street only truck and we have been getting pounded with snow.. my truck is 4wd but does get stuck getting through some the more horrible streets ive gone down.. its not just ice its bottoming out from the snow.. ive been throwing around the idea of maybe a 2inch lift just get some more clearance out of the truck, ive always liked lifted trucks but since my truck is a true R/T i didnt think it was suppose to be that way, now im having seconds thoughts.. i thought about going to test drive the raptor but dont feel like having another payment.. i also have a summer car which is only for nice weather doesnt see rain or any type of precipitation.. should i do it? and where do i start.. right now i have lowering shackles on the truck and street tires.. i need to be pointed in the right direction as what i should do.. i do not want to have to modify in the hope that if i ever sell it one day it can go back down to normal ride height. i would also like to use my 20' rims with another set of good tires..
im throwing in the car i just finished restoring which is my summer car, and this 1951 dodge 3/4 ton thats coming home soon so i can start restoring it.. its been in my family since new.. and the R/T..

I would get some good snow tires first, then try taking off the lower shackles

Until you get the front end lifted, the rear shackles arent going to make a difference so I would keep them unless you are going to get the front end lifted some. The frame sits so low that the rear end wont make a difference.

Personally, I wouldnt lift it due to the additional wear it puts on CVs and tie rods. I would look at a 100% winter tire and have a set of summer tires. Blizzaks might be something worth looking at.

A Raptor SVT would be awesome, but that would be one hell of a monthly payment with a MSRP of $42k. I was browsing new trucks today

Is that the streetscene rollpan that you have? I want to buy one, but I want to get my front end painted first so it looks like it has the sport package.

no actually its a lund roll pan one they discontinued a while ago as ive heard.. i guess snow tires wouldnt be bad.. i would def need new rims and tires then for just snow.. what size rim and tire would you guys suggest on a stock ride height? btw 42k would be so worth it tho. that thing is sooo sweet.. just think 6.2=411hp..

oh and what offset would i need.. its been a LOoooong time since i bought rims/tires lol

and if anyone has a set of 16inch steelies they want to get rid of let me know i may be interested..
