Default Durango wheels on Dakota?

So, will 17x7J wheels work on my Dakota? One that take 17x8 wheels?

These are 2007 Durango 'Takeoffs'

I have a 2006 Dakota. I'm guessing they will be skinnier wheels, by an inch, but other than that?

Can I use the same tires I have, 265/65R17 on the 17x7 wheels?

I guess that is the real question. Or would I have to use skinnier tires?

The 2 sites that I checked recommend a rim width of at least 7.5 inches for the 265/65/17's. A 245/70/17 size tire would be a good size choice, skinnier than stock, but the same height as your stock sized tires.

265's on a 7" wide wheel will work fine.

Yeah, so I went and got them.

Rims look real good. Apparently they have about 37 miles on them. People bought the Durango and drove it across the street to Schwabbie's and got new wheels and they threw the factory ones in the back.

One step closer to my stealthy black look on the cheap. It's too bad they don't have these with hub caps that are black...

Say, anyone want Durango Wheel covers? Yeah, I sure don't.
