I think it was a combination of a lot of parts cause the TEB said to replace axle shafts, backing plates, drums, etc. Hopefully yours stays away. I agree about 3rd party warranties. I had one on an S10 once and the transmission went out, they took forever before finally agreeing to replace it, then they replaced it with a used transmission out of a salvage yard that cost the $400, who knows how many miles were on it AND it took 3 weeks!
